Episode 46: “Noctourniquet”, “The Raid” & Demo Tapes: The Damned – “Damned, Damned, Damned” (1977)

This week Adam & Simon drop the latin grooves and Zeppelinesque voyages as we listen to the new album from The Mars Volta “Noctourniquet”, we grab a dish of nasi goreng and settle down to watch new Indonesian action/thriller “The Raid” and we continue our Demo Tapes segment with the classic punk album “Damned, Damned, Damned” by The Damned released in 1977. Enjoy!

  1. Hello boys. I don’t have a huge amount to say about the stuff you’ve talked about this week – I’m not a huge Volta fan, not a big martial arts fan, and the less said about Captain Sensible the better ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=291ET6Py6H8 ).

    However, I thought I’d join in with the classic “What have you been doing this week” segment, because I’ve been doing quite a lot this week. I’ve…
    *Watched a few films: Captain America (7/10), True Grit (9/10), The Artist (8/10), Attack The Block (8.5/10), Cowboys & Aliens (6/10) (all thanks to a subscription to LoveFilm)… Also saw a bunch of short films as part of the Made In Britain film festival at the BFI;
    *Read a few books: Oliver Twist – Dickens, Black Orchid – Neil Gaiman, Stepford Wives – Ira Levin, The Library Book;
    *Played some games: finished Back To The Future (4/5), finished Grim Fandango (5/5), continued Tales Of Monkey Island.

    I’ve been busy.
